On May 10, 2008, Teens In Partnership in collaboration with the Substance Abuse and Delinquency Prevention Coalition and in partnership with Anne Arundel County Public Schools hosted it first Teen Summit Event. The purpose of the 2008 Anne Arundel County Teen Summit was to raise awareness regarding the risk factors associated with substance abuse and to empower other teens to stand up against underage drinking. As a result of the Summit, 293 students representing 41 different schools were in attendance, 265 Alcohol and Drug Surveys were completed and 1758 Community Service Learning hours were distributed.
